Utilities
In Petroware2000, several utilities have been created to
speed set-up and maintenance of your software. The goal
of Customer Support at Avatar Systems, Inc. is to provide the ultimate
in Windows
technology to make our Oil and Gas software user-friendly.
A part of that goal is accomplished throughout the software in the Utilities.
Each of these utilities can play a major role in making
your software
experience rewarding!
Petroware Wizards: An administrator
can use several utilities or wizards to save time in
changing master file default information. These wizard
options, when selected, populate existing records automatically
when a user uses the Petro Wizards to apply a change.
By using these wizards, default values will populate the
existing master files, so the user only changes these field
values when they are different.
- Netting Flags - Sets a default value to net expenses
either by owner or by well
- Owner Flags - Sets the default
values for several owner master file options
- Customer Flags - applies values to all customers in the in the Billing
and Sales (AR) module.
- Vendor - Sets the default values
for the vendor master file such as terms
- Well Hold Flag - Sets the default values for payment of revenue.
- DOI Hold
Flag - Sets the default values for the JIB DOI hold flag.
Copying
Master Files: When multiple companies (entities
or partnership) sets of books are desired, this feature enables
the user to copy master files from an existing company to
a new company.
- Makes for faster and more accurate set-up.

and MONEY
- Takes all the hassle out of Multiple Entity set-up.
Company
Backup/Restore: Even with a nightly castrophic system
backup, there are still times when just a quick backup of
a desired company is necessary. This facility uses Windows
tree structure to enable the user to make a quick backup
of a company and store to hard-drive, disk, etc.
- Saves TIME and MONEY
- Creates a quick way for users to
make backups without the hassle of learning complicated
System backup procedures.
- Makes for an easy Restore experience.
Company and Userid Creation and
Maintenance: Creating new companies and maintaining the User ID for
security
shouldn’t
a horrible experience. User authorization is a major issue
but can be simply managed without severe headaches. The Windows
standard tree structure is utilized again to make an Administrator’s
task simple
- Makes the maintenance of Company Database maintenance
simple.
- Makes the User ID set-up and security simple and
effective.
- Created in “user-friendly” standard
windows tree structure for easy training and usage.
